About Our Emcee

Neda Iranpour

Neda Iranpour connects with San Diegans as the morning news anchor on CBS 8 San Diego and the CW San Diego. 


A versatile and Emmy award-winning journalist, Neda has handled reporting, anchoring, and weather forecasting. She has a focus on environmental pieces with her Earth 8 segments. She has covered several topics including the importance of saving the Torrey Pine and the efforts by the Agua Hedionda Lagoon. She's covered the spread of microplastics, icebergs melting, sea urchins used in medical research, and the list goes on. Her environmental piece on chemicals found in dolphin blubber earned her an Emmy award and she was recently nominated for 3 more Emmy’s in the Environmental category.
